My eldest son (32) with crack addiction now 3 years+has lost everything to include his 2 children, his wife is in rehab for multiple addiction/mental problems.. My heart breaks as I am at a loss. I and his father have been enablers for too long and now we see that we are NOT helping just adding to this insidious nightmare ...when lucid he clearly hates this life and cries about the loss of soul, self esteem etc. BUT is weak and does whatever to get the next high.......any suggestions ? thanks and I send strength, wisdom, hope and love to all those on this sight.

I have been married for 32 years. My husband smoked marijuana when we first met but I did not know it then. Since 1989, he has been smoking crack which is now his drug of choice. I have been separated now for 1 year after he stole everything from me for several times. He would give the car to drug addicts for drugs they would leave it on the side of the rode somewhere or tear it up. It tore up my family (4 kids) but we managed to stay strong because of my beliefs. I managed to raise the kids and finish nursing school while he was heavy into this crack. I have never done any kind of drugs in my life. I am a christian, howvever, I have not been perfect. How in the world did I manage to marry someone like this, I don't know. My husband is kind, humble, loves his family and hates what he does and sorry that he ever got addicted. He never knew his father, thought that he had run out of his life. At church Sunday, the speaker's topic was "How low can you go?" He gave several senerios to explain. After, church I thought now how does this apply to me? It hit me. I needed to try to reconcile with my husband. I was contemplating divorce for a few months but have never mentioned it to him. I still don't know how to approach this move. We are suppose to talk about it next week. My pastor has already advised me to get a divorce because he has committed adultry too. I just believe that Jesus can do anything but fail. I have prayed about this but would love to hear from others about their thoughts.

I would like an invitation to your support group. I really, really need to find a way to stop smoking crack forever. I have hurt my loved ones over and over again. My girlfriend had just began to really start to trust me again and I just screwed it all up because the devils candy was callin. Please, Im willing to do anything. I have had a taste of the good life, I just can never keep it. I always self destruct. Heeeeeeeeeelp!

My husband and I have been smoking crack daily for the past three years. We both finally had enough and we have not smoked any for the past three days. We expected to feel tired and agitated. But we are also experiencing some physical symptoms that we did not expect. I have a lot of nausea and vomiting, and he is having severe muscle spasms and pain in his lower back. Are these symptoms common for crack withdrawal?

I snorted at 18, foils at 19, and smoking crack at 27. I am now 40 and have been in and out of prison since 30 for various actions due to "finding ways to pay the devil". I recently was released again in Sept. and have fallen for "his lies" 3x's so far. Yesterday being the recent. I have surrendered all my money and accts. over to a loved one that I no longer want to hurt with this EVIL. I thank you for the postings that I have read, and I will come back everyday just to remind myself that I am not alone in this battle.

I just found out after being with my husband for 5 years that he is a crackhead. I knew nothing about it!!! He has had this possession for years, and just now started using again.
